Hypnosis has been controversial with in the last few years. However use of hypnosis for therapeutic reasons requires three personal things: Concentration, the belief, and imagination. These things will help you with your process. If the person whom is undergoing the hypnosis does not cooperate with the person conducting the hypnosis or does not believe its going to work your brain will not allow you to reach the state of hypnosis.
In hypnosis you are required to release some of the power of your brain or subconscious to the person who is conducting. The idea of trust is a large factor in this process. You will have to want to be hypnotized in order to undergo the process. Once you are under the process can help you with several areas of your life; though not all people can be hypnotized most of us can reach at least a light state of hypnosis. People who are closed to the concept or minds are prone to analyzing things must use a different form of hypnosis. Inner peace and relaxation can be reached when concentration and patients are utilized.
During light levels of hypnosis many physical feelings can be felt, although each person is different. Not all will feel everything and only few can travel beyond a moderate stage of hypnosis. Some examples of these feelings are:
- Blinking eyelids
- Tingling in the fingers or hands
- Heaviness
The feelings of these sensations can be low during your early experiences but they can be developed over time. Loss of time or distorted perception of time is another thing that many feel during hypnosis. This too can be mastered over time and one will realize how long has passed while under hypnosis.
Medium States of Hypnosis:
During this state of hypnosis the person’s conscious becomes more enhanced. The physical may become more important and they may experience things more defined. The tingling in the fingers growing and so wills the heaviness. Some people feel like they are actually floating and the feeling is very real and remembered. This opens up the subconscious mind to get hear and understand stronger visual messages that are being relayed to them.
A person who reaches even deeper levels of hypnosis will get even better stronger responses. This will cause rapid eye movement called REM and also achieve conscious amnesia or feel absent from their state of reality. Hallucinations can occur during this state and also after it ends.
Though hypnosis is not viewed as possible for all it does have many benefits. They use of hypnosis as a treatment for say…to quit smoking or loss weight is very possible depending on which state of hypnosis the person is in.
However getting to that state of consciousness will take some work on the part of both the hypnotist as well as the patient being hypnotized if both are not working together the end result will not be achieved. Learning hypnosis is a process and if you are willing to try it can teach you how to both bring peace and enlightenment into your life.
